1And the rulersof the peopledweltat Jerusalem:the restof the peoplealso castlots,to bringoneof tento dwellin Jerusalemthe holycity,and nineparts[to dwell] in [other] cities.2And the peopleblessedall the men,that willingly offeredthemselves to dwellat Jerusalem.

3Now these [are] the chiefof the provincethat dweltin Jerusalem:but in the citiesof Judahdweltevery onein his possessionin their cities,[to wit], Israel,the priests,and the Levites,and the Nethinims,and the childrenof Solomon'sservants.4And at Jerusalemdwelt[certain] of the childrenof Judah,and of the childrenof Benjamin.Of the childrenof Judah;Athaiahthe sonof Uzziah,the sonof Zechariah,the sonof Amariah,the sonof Shephatiah,the sonof Mahalaleel,of the childrenof Perez;5And Maaseiahthe sonof Baruch,the sonof Colhozeh,the sonof Hazaiah,the sonof Adaiah,the sonof Joiarib,the sonof Zechariah,the sonof Shiloni.6All the sonsof Perezthat dweltat Jerusalem[were] fourhundredthreescoreand eightvaliantmen.

7And these [are] the sonsof Benjamin;Salluthe sonof Meshullam,the sonof Joed,the sonof Pedaiah,the sonof Kolaiah,the sonof Maaseiah,the sonof Ithiel,the sonof Jesaiah.8And afterhim Gabbai,Sallai,ninehundredtwentyand eight.9And Joelthe sonof Zichri[was] their overseer:and Judahthe sonof Senuah[was] secondover the city.

10Of the priests:Jedaiahthe sonof Joiarib,Jachin.11Seraiahthe sonof Hilkiah,the sonof Meshullam,the sonof Zadok,the sonof Meraioth,the sonof Ahitub,[was] the rulerof the houseof God.12And their brethrenthat didthe workof the house[were] eighthundredtwentyand two:and Adaiahthe sonof Jeroham,the sonof Pelaliah,the sonof Amzi,the sonof Zechariah,the sonof Pashur,the sonof Malchiah,13And his brethren,chiefof the fathers,twohundredfortyand two:and Amashaithe sonof Azareel,the sonof Ahasai,the sonof Meshillemoth,the sonof Immer,14And their brethren,mighty menof valour,an hundredtwentyand eight:and their overseer[was] Zabdiel,the sonof [one of] the great men.

15Also of the Levites:Shemaiahthe sonof Hashub,the sonof Azrikam,the sonof Hashabiah,the sonof Bunni;16And Shabbethaiand Jozabad,of the chiefof the Levites,[had] the oversight of the outwardbusinessof the houseof God.17And Mattaniahthe sonof Micha,the sonof Zabdi,the sonof Asaph,[was] the principalto beginthe thanksgivingin prayer:and Bakbukiahthe secondamong his brethren,and Abdathe sonof Shammua,the sonof Galal,the sonof Jeduthun.18All the Levitesin the holycity[were] two hundredfourscoreand four.

19Moreover the porters,Akkub,Talmon,and their brethrenthat keptthe gates,[were] an hundredseventyand two.

Residents outside Jerusalem

20And the residueof Israel,of the priests,[and] the Levites,[were] in all the citiesof Judah,every onein his inheritance.21But the Nethinimsdweltin Ophel:and Zihaand Gispa[were] over the Nethinims.

22The overseeralso of the Levitesat Jerusalem[was] Uzzithe sonof Bani,the sonof Hashabiah,the sonof Mattaniah,the sonof Micha.Of the sonsof Asaph,the singers[were] overthe businessof the houseof God.23For [it was] the king'scommandmentconcerning them, that a certain portionshould be for the singers,duefor every day.24And Pethahiahthe sonof Meshezabeel,of the childrenof Zerahthe sonof Judah,[was] at the king'shandin all mattersconcerning the people.

25And for the villages,with their fields,[some] of the childrenof Judahdweltat Kirjatharba,and [in] the villagesthereof, and at Dibon,and [in] the villagesthereof, and at Jekabzeel,and [in] the villagesthereof,26And at Jeshua,and at Moladah,and at Bethphelet,27And at Hazarshual,and at Beersheba,and [in] the villagesthereof,28And at Ziklag,and at Mekonah,and in the villagesthereof,29And at Enrimmon,and at Zareah,and at Jarmuth,30Zanoah,Adullam,and [in] their villages,at Lachish,and the fieldsthereof, at Azekah,and [in] the villagesthereof. And they dweltfrom Beershebaunto the valleyof Hinnom.31The childrenalso of Benjaminfrom Geba[dwelt] at Michmash,and Aija,and Bethel,and [in] their villages,32[And] at Anathoth,Nob,Ananiah,33Hazor,Ramah,Gittaim,34Hadid,Zeboim,Neballat,35Lod,and Ono,the valleyof craftsmen.36And of the Levites[were] divisions[in] Judah,[and] in Benjamin.
