The Tabernacle Set Up
(Exodus 25:1-9;Hebrews 9:1-10)
1And the LORDspakeunto Moses,saying,2On the firstdayof the firstmonthshalt thou set upthe tabernacleof the tentof the congregation.3And thou shalt putthereinthe arkof the testimony,and coverthe arkwith the vail.4And thou shalt bringin the table,and set in orderthe things that are to be set in orderupon it; and thou shalt bringin the candlestick,and lightthe lampsthereof.5And thou shalt setthe altarof goldfor the incensebeforethe arkof the testimony,and putthe hangingof the doorto the tabernacle.6And thou shalt setthe altarof the burnt offeringbeforethe doorof the tabernacleof the tentof the congregation.7And thou shalt setthe laverbetween the tentof the congregationand the altar,and shalt putwatertherein.8And thou shalt set upthe courtround about,and hang upthe hangingat the courtgate.9And thou shalt takethe anointingoil,and anointthe tabernacle,and all that [is] therein, and shalt hallowit, and all the vesselsthereof: and it shall be holy.10And thou shalt anointthe altarof the burnt offering,and all his vessels,and sanctifythe altar:and it shall be an altarmostholy.11And thou shalt anointthe laverand his foot,and sanctifyit.12And thou shalt bringAaronand his sonsunto the doorof the tabernacleof the congregation,and washthem with water.13And thou shalt putupon Aaronthe holygarments,and anointhim, and sanctifyhim; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.14And thou shalt bringhis sons,and clothethem with coats:15And thou shalt anointthem, as thou didst anointtheir father,that they may minister unto me in the priest's office:for their anointingshall surely be an everlastingpriesthoodthroughout their generations.16Thus didMoses:according to all that the LORDcommandedhim, so didhe.
17And it came to pass in the firstmonthin the secondyear,on the first[day] of the month,[that] the tabernaclewas reared up.18And Mosesreared upthe tabernacle,and fastenedhis sockets,and set upthe boardsthereof, and putin the barsthereof, and reared uphis pillars.19And he spread abroadthe tentover the tabernacle,and putthe coveringof the tentaboveupon it; as the LORDcommandedMoses.20And he tookand putthe testimonyinto the ark,and setthe staveson the ark,and putthe mercy seataboveupon the ark:21And he broughtthe arkinto the tabernacle,and set upthe vailof the covering,and coveredthe arkof the testimony;as the LORDcommandedMoses.22And he putthe tablein the tentof the congregation,upon the sideof the tabernaclenorthward,withoutthe vail.23And he setthe breadin orderupon it beforethe LORD;as the LORDhad commandedMoses.24And he putthe candlestickin the tentof the congregation,over againstthe table,on the sideof the tabernaclesouthward.25And he lightedthe lampsbeforethe LORD;as the LORDcommandedMoses.26And he putthe goldenaltarin the tentof the congregationbeforethe vail:27And he burntsweetincensethereon; as the LORDcommandedMoses.28And he set upthe hanging[at] the doorof the tabernacle.29And he putthe altarof burnt offering[by] the doorof the tabernacleof the tentof the congregation,and offeredupon it the burnt offeringand the meat offering;as the LORDcommandedMoses.30And he setthe laverbetween the tentof the congregationand the altar,and putwaterthere, to wash[withal].31And Mosesand Aaronand his sonswashedtheir handsand their feetthereat:32When they wentinto the tentof the congregation,and when they came nearunto the altar,they washed;as the LORDcommandedMoses.33And he reared upthe courtround aboutthe tabernacleand the altar,and set upthe hangingof the courtgate.So Mosesfinishedthe work.
The Glory of the Lord
(Numbers 9:15-23)
34Then a cloudcoveredthe tentof the congregation,and the gloryof the LORDfilledthe tabernacle.35And Moseswas not ableto enterinto the tentof the congregation,because the cloudabodethereon, and the gloryof the LORDfilledthe tabernacle.36And when the cloudwas taken upfromover the tabernacle,the childrenof Israelwent onwardin all their journeys:37But if the cloudwere not taken up,then they journeyednot till the daythat it was taken up.38For the cloudof the LORD[was] upon the tabernacleby day,and firewas on it by night,in the sightof all the houseof Israel,throughout all their journeys.
