The rift between Peter and Roman widens when Letha begins to fall in love with Peter. When Roman discovers this, he is driven mad with rage. He drives to the home of a female schoolmate, Ashley Valentine, and rapes her. When he's finished, he uses his mind control powers to make her forget that he'd come to her house and forced her to "dream of something pleasant." There is a strong suggestion that this is exactly what happened to Letha.
We also learn that after JR died, Norman was planning to leave his wife for Olivia, but that he elected not to do so after he discovered that his wife was pregnant with Letha.
Olivia strikes a deal with Lynda to pay $5,000 per vial of the substance to which Olivia is addicted.
