Re: Sputnik, I think this misunderstands Huff's point, that such endeavors could not continue to flourish under such a regime - as indeed it did not. One should also note that very highly educated persons today can be totally ignorant as to the real, medieval roots of science, and can be expected to make erroneous statements in this regard.

But the other information is interesting. However, would be nice to know when those madrasahs were operating - in the pre- or post-occassionalist era?
