博士課程に関するネガティブなブログはたくさんあるが、本人向けの内容が多く、親向けの内容は少ないように思う。「親のすねをかじるなんて」という意見もあるだろうが、現に、今の日本の博士課程は、親のすねをかじればかじるほど有利になるように出来ていることは否定しがたい事実だ。息子（娘）が博士課程に進むということは、極端にいえば、「xxという会社に将来性があると思うから、2000万円ぐらい投資します」といっているのと金銭的には同じようなものだ。要するに2000万円程度の成功率の低い投資行為なのだ。それが、親の財力と子供の数から考えて、高い投資か低い投資かは、家庭環境によるだろう。もし、あなたに親として2000万円の投資に耐えられる財力がないのであれば、息子（娘）を説得して、博士課程進学を諦めさせてほしい。「教授から学業が優秀だから期待できるといわれた」と言い出しても、素直に信じてはいけない。実は、大学
