2. Lexical Elements

The text of a program consists of the texts of one or more compilations.The text of a compilation is a sequence of lexical elements, each composedof characters; the rules of composition are given in this chapter.Pragmas, which provide certain information for the compiler, are alsodescribed in this chapter.
