病院は自己アピールの場ではないとかお気持ちだとかワガママだとか色々言っているが
当事者としての私個人の、ぬるっとした反応を書いておきたいと思った。
私の生物学上の性別は女で、性自認は男でも女でもない。恋愛対象は女性だ。
病院で問診票を書くときに、性別の欄でいつも10秒くらい悩む。悩んでも仕方ないとはわかっている。むしろ、こんな中途半端な人間が(私の、私に対する感想です)ためらいもなく、女性の欄に丸をつけて良いものか、というポーズに近いかもしれない。ちょっとだけ、誰かを騙している罪悪感もある。誰も咎めないのに。

でも、青を着たいわけではない。たとえ、「どっちでもない人は紫をどうぞ」というシステムだったとしても、私はちょっと悩んでから赤を着るだろう。「あの人は違うんだ」と思われるのは、私はつらいから。
そういうわけで、健康診断でも、病院でも、私は女性として扱われる。

補足しておくと、私の通院時の主訴はそれぞれまったく別のものだった。
お医者さんは、良かれと思って、寄り添ってくれようとして、そのような言葉をかけてくれたのだと思う。
でも、私にとっては、「この時間、お互いにとって無駄だよなあ」と思ってしまうのだ。
でも、お医者さんの言葉を遮って、「私の性自認は女性というわけではないんです！！！」というほどのことでもない。
帰り道に、少しだけ疲れて、「２回目はいいかな」と思うのだ。それか、こういうことにモヤモヤしないような元気な日に行ってもいいかも。あるいは別の病院を探して...
そう思っているうちに、耐えられないほど悪化して、慌てて病院に駆け込んだりする。
身体的な、生物学上、あなたはどちらなのか、という情報が医療者にとって必要なものだと理解している。
それを書かせるなんて差別だ！とは思わない。
ただ、その下に一行、「自認する性別」の欄があれば良いだけなのではないだろうか。
