真のスコットランド人論法（しんのスコットランドじんろんぽう、英語: Notrue Scotsman)、または純粋さに訴える論証（英語:appeal to purity）は、 非形式的誤謬のひとつである。普遍汎化に対する反例を提出されたとき、トートロジーを用いて反例を除外することで主張を防衛しようとする行為をさす[1] [2] [3]。普遍汎化を放棄したり反例を否定する証拠を提供したりせず、客観的な基準の代わりにレトリックを用いて汎化を修正し定義上その特定の反例を含まないようにする[4]。このレトリックは「真の、純粋な、正真正銘の、真正の、本物の」など感情に訴えかけるだけで本質的な意味のない純粋さの形容という形をとる[5]。

哲学教授のブラッドリー・ダウデン（英語版）は、反駁された汎化の試みに対する「アドホックな救助」としてこの誤謬を説明している[1]。以下はこの誤謬の簡略化された一例である[6]。

使われる例
真のスコットランド人論法は主張者が以下の条件を満たしたときに使われたといえる[7] [3] [4]。
特定の都合の悪い反例を定義的に除外するよう変更した主張をする
レトリックを用いてその変更を隠す
純粋さへの訴えは、一般的に、肩入れしている集団の擁護に関連している。スコットランド人と見なされている誰かが凶悪な犯罪を犯した場合、スコットランドの国民の誇りの問題が危機に瀕していると想像できる。このとき、あるスコットランド人が犯した罪が他のスコットランド人と関連付けられる（これは関連性の誤謬である）ことを恐れ、この特定の構成員や行動がグループに所属することを否認する動きが出てくるかもしれない。「真のスコットランド人はそのようなことはしないはずだ」というのである。すなわち、「そのようなこと」をする人はトートロジー的に（定義的に）グループから除外され、そのグループのよい性質に対する反例にならないようにするのである[4]。
ロバート・アンダーソンは、「真のスコットランド人は……」というフレーズは必ずしも誤謬ではないと主張している。それは、このフレーズに含まれる「真」という用語の構文的文脈に依存するのだという[7]。
一般に、「真のスコットランド人」論法は「スコットランド人」にあたるものが文が指す対象と相容れない場合には正しい可能性がある。例えば、菜食主義は肉を食べないことであると明白に定義されている。したがって、「真の菜食主義者は肉を食べない」は「私の友達は菜食主義者だが、肉を食べる」に対する間違ってはいない応答になりうる。肉を食べることはベジタリアンであることと語義からして相容れないからである[8]。

これに対して、アメリカやイギリス、ドイツなどの先進国は、形式だけにしても「忠告してくれてありがとう、これこれこういう法律だから大丈夫です。もしもっと疑問があったら答えるよ」とか「忠告には感謝しますが、現在議会で議論している最中で、議会の決定は政府とは独立しているから現段階で、どういう内容の法律になるかは答えられません。もし内容が明らかになったらすぐに情報提供させていただきます」みたいな感じの丁寧な応答がされています。
また先日書いたInvestigatoryPowers Billについては、コメントはありませんが、同様にすぐにウェブサイトに投稿されています。こっちのほうが珍しいパターン。
理由を書いてある奴もたまにはあって、たとえば、中国のインターネットアクセス規制に関するコメント（これが中国から見えるのかは気になるね）では

まぁ中国だと、こういう意見表明がされたことを自ら発表することなんて無いだろうしね。中国のレスポンスは「中国は法治国家だから大丈夫」見たいな感じで、西欧諸国のような修辞はないのが笑えた。

まぁ正直、文章の修辞的な意味での丁寧さの欠如具合が中国の例に近い。
「最後に、立法段階が相当進んでいることに照らしまして、私の見解では、迅速な公共の関心が必要な事項であると判断いたします。ですから私は、プライバシーに関する特別報告者の任務として、貴国政府に、本書簡を公開するとともに、ウェブサイトに投稿すること、そして私の懸念についてプレスリリースをを行う準備をいたしますことをお知らせいたします。またこのことは、私たちと貴国政府が疑問点を明らかにするためにコンタクトを取っていたことを示すものであります。」
と書いているわけで、むしろ丁寧に理由まで書いているという意味では、通例に照らしてなんら失礼な文書ではないと思うわけですが、強くprotestしたということですので、文書の公開が楽しみでならないわけであります。

緊急提言として、通常の外交マナーにのっとらない行動もできるとか書いてあるけど、公開書簡はありふれてというか、少なくとも事後的にでも公開されるものは、迅速に公開されるので、まあUrgentAppealだから公開だっていうわけじゃなくって、コンタクトを取ってる証拠として公開するから、ちゃんと答えてよ、ということでしょうね。これによると基本的には60日以内には回答することになってるけど、トランプアメリカとか、中国とかは1年、2年回答してないのもあるし。
特別報告者としての活動による訴追等は受けない、逮捕、拘禁もされない、書いた報告書は誰にも訂正されない、等々書いてあるので、まぁ特別報告者がただのprivate（私人）ちう意味での個人だというのは相当苦しいですなぁ。

まぁ国連の特別報告者の見解がいつもいつも正しいわけじゃないのは当然でしょうから、疑義には正面から答えればそれだけですむのになぁという話。正直、「一方的に発出してー！」って切れられても戸惑うんじゃないかしら。他国の反応を見てみると。

それと，ハグ，キス，セックスした後に感じる幸福感もあるよね．これも好きに入ると思う．
愛されてる感，とでもいうやつ．
でもややこしいことに、その他関係性に依存する嫉妬とか精神的依存などからくる執着と絡んだ「好き」という感情もあって複雑だと思うんだよね。この辺の取り扱いが難しい。今までに挙げた点と何らかの関係で絡み合っているとは思うんだけどね。
で、執着って好きに入れていいのかな？
一般的には入れてる人が多い気がするけど。
どうなんだろう。

好きと関係ありそうな事象において、脳内物質か、神経回路を何らかの定量化して精神状態や行動との相関をみれば分類も進んで議論も進むのではないかな？
